We need every resident who is opposed to this scheme to contribute towards the costly fight, both by running fund raising events and digging into their pockets - it will cost far more in property devaluation if the proposal is given planning permission. Don’t leave it until it is too late!

If you feel able to make a donation, however large or small, do please,  contact our treasurer

Wind turbines don't make good neighbors.
John Zimmerman
(Northeast U.S. Representative, Enxco)
Once these units are up and running ... the citizens of Bruce County will be left to look at a wind park of industrial proportions for the rest of their lives.
Robert Emerson
Bruce County Federation of Agriculture Ontario

The Prince of Wales believes that wind farms are a "horrendous blot on the landscape" and that their spread must be halted before they irreparably ruin some of Britain's most beautiful countryside. Prince Charles, who has an abiding interest in environmental issues, has told senior aides that he does not want to have any links with events or groups that promote onshore wind farms.
News Telegraph
October 25, 2004

"The trouble with wind farms is that they have a huge spatial footprint for a piddling little bit of electricity. ."
Sir Martin Holdgate
former chairman of the British Renewable Energy Advisory Group.

It's well past time to stop considering what wind might do and to examine what it has done. It has not reduced fossil fuel use or emissions. It has only ruined a lot of landscapes and communities, fragmented habitat, and killed birds and bats.

We are fighting to make people aware of the problems of living near wind turbines, problems that are now recognised by health organisations and international bodies but which are not acknowledged by the developers. Vortex is informing the planners, our councils and the press about the issues that concern our members.

Over 800 people have joined this fight by becoming members of Vortex and membership continues to grow.  Vortex has engaged professional support on your behalf but it is the voices of the members, their friends, relatives and neighbours that will make a difference when it comes to objecting to the planning application that Nuon will submit to North Shropshire District Council.
Members make the difference

Vortex is fighting against the installation of industrial wind turbines in countryside between Norton-in-Hales, Knighton and Woore. We are fighting on behalf of all of the residents to protect the countryside; the wildlife habitats; & the health and human rights of the residents.
